Jormie

A personal assistant for planning, preparation and follow-through.

Jormie helps one owner make sense of selected email and calendar context, prepare for upcoming commitments and keep track of unfinished work. The assistant runs on the owner’s Mac. These pages explain the app; they are not a public sign-up service.

What the Google connection does

The connection requests 3 read-only permissions: read Gmail, read calendar events and read the list of calendars. Jormie stays bound to the configured account and selected calendars.

Selected message and event facts can support summaries, reminders, conflict checks, planning and tasks the owner requests. Private local records preserve source references so the assistant can distinguish observed information from the owner’s instructions.

This Google connection cannot send or change email, create or change calendar events, or grant permission for another action. Other connected tools need their own supported access and explicit action permission.

How the assistant works

Jormie keeps selected source information and working memory in a private local database, together with diagnostic records. OpenAI provides the main AI model. Optional workflows may use Anthropic or TypeSafe’s JEV adviser, which currently runs in shadow mode. Its suggestions are evaluated in the background and are not applied to current plans. Local Qwen provides a fallback.

Cloud workflows can receive selected private context. Provider processing follows the applicable service terms and account settings; this page does not promise unverified provider data controls.

You stay in control

Reminders and plans can be incomplete or wrong. A connected account does not mean that every message, change or conflict has been seen. Check important times and arrangements against the original source.

The owner can disconnect Google access and ask for local data export, correction or deletion. Disconnecting does not erase existing local copies automatically.

Read the Privacy Policy for data handling and the Terms of Use for the app’s scope and limits. For support, use the address displayed on Google’s consent screen.
